About Us

The Branch Student Ministry is the youth ministry of Westbury Baptist Church, which is located in Southwest Houston at the corner of Hillcroft and Willow Bend.  The Branch is comprised of dozens of students who have different stories, represent different backgrounds, attend different schools and like different things  - but share ONE love for Jesus Christ and for each other. 

The Branch has weekly activities that encourage students to hang out, learn more about each other, and learn more about God, such as Wednesday Night Live, Sunday School, and a Discipleship appropriate to the student's age and grade.  Some stuff is pretty light.  Other stuff can get really heavy.  At the Branch, we want students to be comfortable and have a great time!  But - not at the expense of Truth.  That's our number priority when it comes to our weekly stuff.  It's all designed to engage students on a deeper level when it comes to Jesus.  Check out our normal schedule just to your right, where it says Stuff That Happens Weekly.

Along with the weekly stuff, we just love some good ole-fashioned fun!  Whether it's playing dodgeball at the church, tagging each other in paintball, or heading out to an Astros game, we love having a good time together.  All of our upcoming events are lised on the Our Events page.  There, parents can create an account with us that gives us all the necessary student information.  And from that point on, they can sign their students up for minor events simply by logging into the site and submitting their user name and email address for the appropriate event.  NO MORE PAPER WORK!!!  Our major events (basically anything that leaves town) still require paper work and notarization.  That includes stuff like Fall Retreats, Winter Trips, Summer Church Camps, Senior Retreats, etc.  Information about this stuff will be posted all over the website.  You won't miss it!  Don't let money be an issue.  Scholarships are available for all events with prior notice and approval from the Minister to Youth.
